Absentee Ballots in Jones County not affected by Linn County injunction

September 3, 2020

Absentee ballot update-08/28/20. Perhaps you've heard of the recent absentee ballot request form court injunction in Linn County... Jones County voters are NOT impacted by that court injunction! The Jones County Auditor's Office did NOT send a mass mailing of absentee request forms to voters. Forms have been sent to voters by various organizations, and voters will likely continue to receive forms from a variety of organizations. In addition, the Iowa Secretary of State will be sending absentee request forms to all registered voters in Iowa very soon. Rest assured, voters will receive only ONE ballot when ballots are issued beginning October 5th to those who have requested one.
